Detail Itinerary:

ARRIVAL DAY

You will be picked up from anywhere in Lombok and make your way to Aik Berik Village where you will spend an overnight in the inclusive accommodation before your trekking adventure begin the next morning. You will have a chance to visit Benag Kelambu, Benang Stokel Waterfalls on your way and have dinner at one of the local family house in the village of Aik Berik.

Day 1

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Rinjani National Gate for registration and briefing with your guide. Your trek will begin at 7:00 AM where you will walk through dense tropical forest rich in flora, bird life and butterflies. From the forest gate, we gently ascent to tropical Rain forest for 1,5 hours to reach Kokoh Tereng (Bamboo River) 1000 Masl. Take a break for tea or coffee time Continue trek for an hour to reach post 1 (Kokoh Geres/a Sandy river) 1500 Masl, and Post 2 (Kokoh Monte) 1900 Masl for about 2 hours where your Lunch will be served.

After lunch we take another 2-hour walk to get post 3 (Kokoh Dalam Lubang) 2000 Masl. This is the hardest part but the breathtaking view will pay it all. The savanna, wild deer and pig might be seen around. This trek will end up in Umar Maya (the camp site) where a sunset could be captured and a beautiful temporally waterfalls known as A Tirta Dewi Anjani (always appear during rainy season).

Day 2. POST 4 – CRATER RIM – POST 4

After early breakfast, we continue walking for 1,5 hours to reach the Crater Rim. From this point, you could see the summit of Mt Rinjani along with its lake and a sunrise behind the summit and enjoy your breakfast (If you prefer to leave early). Enjoy the spectacular panorama from the Crater Rim and capture surrounding views before we descent to the Camp Site to have your Lunch. Camping at same camp site is the best choice for overnight but we could also prefer to have the tent set at the post 3 (mid of jungle) so that we could descent to the entrance gate for 3 hours. (conditional/tentative)

Day 3. POST 4 – AIK BERIK – TRANSFER OUT

After breakfast we Descent to Aik Berik Village for almost 4 hours where the Ojek is waiting for you to transfer you to Registration office for signing out and we drive you back to your Hotel or airport.

Know before you go:

Due to predicted extreme weather, the hiking trails on Mount Rinjani will be officially closed until the end of March 2019 and will be opened from April 1, 2019
You must have a good level of fitness and the ability to walk long distances to take part, people who suffer from mountain sickness or have height phobias are not allowed to join the tour
These are list of items you should carry during the trek program, all items to be packed in a small backpack no more than 5 kilograms (trekking shoes, toiletries, personal medication, sun screen, insect repellent, camera, small towel, 2-4 pieces of cotton t-shirts, long trek pants, windproof jacket, 2 pieces of shorts, sandals, swim wear)

The rest of your luggage can be stored at the local operator's office and you will retrieve them back at the end of the trek
